What do we expect from PlayStation Move on September 19th

PlayStation® Move

So long expected motion gaming is coming to Playstation 3 (say hello to Wii) on September 19th.

What to expect, how is it going to work, how much it is going to cost and what games are there to support it?

How does it work?

The PlayStation Eye tracks the sphere on the motion controller to detect exactly where
you are and the direction you are moving. The PlayStation Eye also tracks your upper body
movement and translates that into the game. This allows the character on screen to move
exactly as you move in real life.

How do you get PSMove?

There are 3 options (available for pre-order already):

1) You can buy a starter pack "Playstation Move Starter Bundle" that includes the PlayStation Eye, PSMove, and Sports Champions blu-ray disc game + PlayStation®Move demo disc ($99)

Playstation Move Starter Bundle

 2) If you have PlayStation Eye already, you can buy a stand-alone PlayStation Move Controller ($49.99)

 3) Get is as a part of the new PS3 console bundles: PlayStation3 Sports Champion Move Bundle comes with PSMove controller, PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions blu-ray disc game + PlayStation®Move demo disc and the PS3 console of course ($399).

Playstation 3

More to that - third party companies are getting ready for PS Move as well. So it's not  just one controller we are going to get, it's much more:

Hyperkin developed a whole set of new attachables for PS Move:
Sports Victory Set ($29.99) includes dagger, shield, bow and table tennis paddle - everything to add more fun in Sports Champions

Hyperkin Special Ops Shooter for the PS3 ($24.99)

Ultimate Boxing Gloves from CTA ($19.99) - absolutely necessary for playing The Fight: Lights Out ($36.99)

From InterWorks Unlimited, Inc: MOVE Precision Shot 3

Compatible with ALL Shooting Games (Time Crisis, TheShoot, Resident Evil 5, Toy Story)

MOVE Precision Shot 3

What else?

There is a secondary PS Move controller released by Sony ($29.99).

The purpose of the navigation controller is to allow you to navigate your character in the game. If you don't want to buy the navigation controller, you can also use the DualShock®3's left analog stick/D-pad. But not all games will be functional with either the navigation controller or DualShock 3 because navigating a character isn't a part of the gameplay experience. For most games, all you need is the PlayStation Move motion controller and PlayStation Eye camera

There is (of course) a variety of charging stations to keep your controllers running.
